I am not surprised by the story.........but am so glad that it turned out the way it did.........could not of been a better ending.

My husband and I have been fighting a custody battle in Bill Harris's court for two years.....we can not get a trial........He has allowed Grandparents to take a child from his Mother and Father. There were no basis for the removal of the child.....everytime it gets close to a trial date he allows the Grandparents to file a continuance.............We have had three trial dates and everytime he allows them a continuance......Go Figure

We have found more negative stories and heard more negative reports from people who have gone through Bill Harris's courts....We are just praying and waiting for GOD's judgement on Bill Harris.

I think the support of the institutional and government hierarchy to keep one woman from freeing herself of a male partner's abuse demonstrates that American society is not yet in post-feminist, no more sexism mode. I think the fear of a still very patriarchal society is that her brave actions may encourage other women in less difficult situations to free themselves of oppression.

An almost unbelieveable story, but not if one knows what domestic abusers are like and the lengths they will go to, to retain control -- and most likely, financial gain (or even to avoid the financial responsibility of child support).

The online petition was sad to read, obviously a co-ordinated campaign by Cyprian's supporters. Chandler must have been so disheartened to read this abuse-by-proxy orchestrated by her sister's father spermdonor.

An investigation should surely be launched to find out why a woman fleeing with her children, one who has done no violent crime, no armed robbery, no acts of state terrorism, should end up on the FBI's 10 Most Wanted List. That smells of corruption within the FBI.

It sounds as if Cyprian still has not, nor will give up. I hope that Chere Tomayko can find some sort of peace with her new asylum status, but I am sure she will be looking over her shoulder every day. Cyprian sounds like the type of abuser that will not give up until the day he dies.

My best wishes and hope for peace for Chere Tomayko and her family.
