Stop Porn Culture Launches New Website
Jun 11th, 2008 by admin
Dear Supporters,
Our website is up and running! We now have a public face. You can check it out at http://www.stoppornculture.org. You’ll find a full list of resources, information about upcoming trainings, a calendar of slideshows around the country, the slideshow itself narrated by our own Rebecca Whisnant, and even a button for donations. One small note: if the slideshow isn’t available for downloading when you visit, check back soon as it will be.
We want to list *your* upcoming slideshows on the SPC website, so keep us updated on what you’re doing. We’ll also have guidelines on how to form a local SPC chapter ready soon.
We still have room in our July training, so if you want to attend, I’ve attached the information.
And finally, you may remember how we tried to get Groupe d’Action de droit from the DR Congo to the training, but were unable to raise enough funds. We are still trying to find ways to help them with the desperate situation they’re in. We want to translate our materials into French, their official language, so at least they’ll have access to some feminist ideas to incorporate into their work. If you are fluent in French (or in Kongo, Lingala, Tshiluba or Swahili) and would like to help, please contact us! We need all the help we can get.
Best,
Lierre for SPC
Also, our radical feminist sister and SPC Co-founder, Dominique Bressi will be racing in the 2008 Coeur D’Alene Ironman, a distinguished athletic event – one day, one race: swim, bike, run, 140.6 miles. She is racing in an effort to win money for Stop Porn Culture. Details here!
